This IR sensor has been designed to measure track temperature where typically the target temperature is lower than the sensor temperature. The sensor is calibrated with ambient temperature compensation to provide optimum target temperature accuracy. When connected to an interface unit or supporting ECU it is possible to determine track temperature.
